‘And the title of the show?’ a good friend from Leeds asked us in Brussels. ‘Choses tuées’, we said. Killed things. ‘Shows two A’, he repeated and pointed at two self-adhesive letters A over our table, ‘gerlach en koop shows two A’. The singular ‘shows’ makes sense for a collective operating under one name, but when it consists of two persons one could also move the s: ‘Show two A's’; ‘gerlach en koop show two A's!’ The alphabet twice restarted, a stammer, just like we started this exhibition twice.
