This year the Friedrich-Vordemberge-Award for Fine Art goes to René Kemp.
The award ceremony and opening of the exhibition “Oh, What fresh hell is this?” takes place on 2nd November, 2017 at 8 pm at the artothek.
In his work René Kemp tries to find a form for depicting the world’s complexity. The recent works which will be presented at the artothek show the artitst’s new focus on abstract painting.
René Kemp (born 1982 in Cologne) studied at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and at the Academy in Düsseldorf. Soloexhibitions at 8Quadart (2017) and Sprungturm (2012) in Cologne, at the Galerie Julia Garnatz (2015) and several groupexhibitions.
